CatholicVote.org created a pro-life ad to run in the Super Bowl. It is truly a lovely ad – it’s not very in your face, it just challenges you to think about the value of every life. Here’s the article about what happened: NBC Sacks Pro-Life Super Bowl Ad

And here’s the ad from YouTube. (I couldn’t get it to embed for some reason)

I think it’s depressing that NBC and the Super Bowl said no to this! If you read the article, you’ll see that their public reason for not airing the ad is that they don’t want to air commercials for advocacy groups. Yet they were willing to work with PETA to make their ad air-appropriate? Seems a little bit iffy to me . . .

I watched the pilot episode of Studio 60 on Sunset Strip on Monday and I have to admit that I enjoyed it – I was pleasantly surprised. And one of the things that surprised me the most was that it appears that one of the main characters is a Christian – and not a looney one at that! Check out this interesting post over at such small hands!
