About Lindsey

Tuesday, December 20th 2005

MeMy name is Lindsey. I am a 25 year old Christian from Florida, but I currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I went to undergraduate school at Wake Forest University, and graduated in May 2006 with a BA, double majoring in theatre and English – too much reading for my own good!  I took a year off from school and just enjoyed life working as a barista (then Shift Supervisor – I left the company in May 2009) at Starbucks and as the assistant project manager for E. Webscapes (I am still working with E. Webscapes). Now I am in the MFA in Performing Arts Management program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and will be doing that until 2010.  I’m currently in my third year of grad school, which consists of an internship in a performing arts organization – I am completing mine as the Management Intern at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta.  I also run my own virtual assistance business, Tizzy Consulting.

I’m very close to my family, and I hold my friends close to my heart as well. As with most people, everything hasn’t been rosy in my life. In May 2000, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been in remission since August 2000, and she is an incredible woman! In February 2003, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer (he has been in remission since March 2003), and in March 2006 he was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. Throughout all of this, our family has only grown closer to each other, and to God.  I also love reading, enjoying music (by listening and by singing), watching movies, cooking, and working on my computer.

However, my greatest love is for my Lord and Savior. I was always raised in a Christian home, but didn’t realize just what it meant to be a Christian until I gave my life to Christ on July 11, 1998 (when I was 13 and finally came to understand that being a Christian meant having a relationship with Christ). In high school I was a co-president of Brothers And Sisters In Christ (BASIC) and for all four years of undergrad I was a devoted member and leader in Living Parables Christian Drama Troupe.  I officially joined the Episcopal Church in April 2007.  My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 – it came into my life my senior year of high school and it never ceases to amaze me.  To read a little bit more about what I believe, check out my Statement of Belief.

If you want to know anything about me, please feel free to ask! For the most part, my life is an open book!
